Through observation of movement, shape and form of the human figure, a slight pose or gesture is quite powerful. Gesturing is expressed across cultures, ages, and tasks. Communication through the gestural stance is the subject quest. Emphasis in this collection is placed on the beauty of the human figure through positive and negative space. The applied palette knife techniques and​ development of textural surfaces create movement and dimension within the composition.
